TUESDAY, SEPT. 26 What: Benfica vs. Manchester United Station: ESPN2 When: 2:30 p.m. ET Why: Manchester United stumbled against Reading this weekend and will try to get on the winning end of their Match Day 2 fixture.
What: Real Madrid vs. Dynamo Kyiv Station: ESPN Classic When: 5 p.m. ET Why: Real Madrid should win, but you never know in the Champions League.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 27 What: Levski Sofia vs. Chelsea Station: ESPN2 When: 2:30 p.m. ET Why: Chelsea is on top of the EPL, but we all know the Champions League is what they want.
What: Werder Bremen vs. Barcelona Station: ESPN Classic When: 5 p.m. ET Why: One of the better match-ups on Wednesday, Barcelona will face a tough test against Werder Bremen.
What: Chicago vs. LA Galaxy (Open Cup Final) Station: Fox Soccer Channel When: 8 p.m. ET Why: The Fire just defeated the Galaxy on Saturday, but can they do it four days later for their fourth Open Cup title?
FRIDAY, SEPT. 29 What: UEFA Champions League Highlights Show Station: ESPN2 When: 2 p.m. ET Why: Considering you probably don’t have the time to watch all the CL games this week (part of the reason we don’t list them all), you can just catch up with the highlight show.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 30 What: Everton vs. Manchester City Station: Fox Soccer Channel When: 2:15 p.m. ET Why: Everton’s Tim Howard goes up against his U.S. teammates – Claudio Reyna and DaMarcus Beasely.
What: Kansas City Wizards vs. Real Salt Lake Station: MLS Direct Kick When: 8: 30 p.m. ET Why: Of all the MLS games this weekend, this one may have the most impact on the playoffs. RSL needs the win to get into the playoff picture, while K.C. is trying to hold off the Red Bulls.
SUNDAY, OCT. 1 What: U.S. WNT vs. Chinese Taipei Station: ESPN2 When: 4 p.m. ET Why: The U.S. WNT is still plugging away toward qualifying in November and invite Chinese Taipei to The Home Depot Center for the first time. |
