Why: Sporting is in second place after three games by only one point, but a win against Bayern would make their chances of moving on to the next round almost a certainty.

What: Barcelona vs. Chelsea (Champions League)

When: 2:30 p.m. ET
Why: Chelsea came away with the win in their last meeting, but Barcelona can’t afford to fall again with Werder Bremen on their heels.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 1
What: Arsenal vs. CSKA (Champions League)

When: 2:30 p.m. ET
Why: The two on top of their group go head-to-head, with Liverpool hoping to take over first place with a win.

What: Real Madrid vs. Steaua Bucharest (Champions League)

Why: Real sits in second, but it’s Steaua that is in dire need of a win with only three points gained so far.

What: Palmero vs. Newcastle (UEFA Cup)

Why: Palmero is having a fantastic start in Serie A, so here’s your chance to catch them in action.

What: Women’s Big East Semifinal

What: D.C. United vs. New England Revolution

Why: Can D.C. get through despite not playing their best or will the Revs finally move on.

What: Houston vs. Colorado
